So I was looking at a job posting not long ago, and it specifically asked applicants to include URLs for all of their personal websites, blogs, etc. That wasn’t why I didn’t apply for the job (I’d rather stay in Ottawa), but it brought home just how much employers want to know about prospective hires.

Okay, so here I am. I’m Steve Roby, one of several on the Internet, so if you google me it may not be instantly obvious which one I am. I’m the only Steven Jacques Roby I know of, though, so I’ve been gradually using that name more often online, as well as on my resume.

I’m not going to post my resume online but I will post some information about my career and experience here, while I look for another library job.
